Let us all make a difference in the world that we are in as an ummah of the beloved Prophet (SAW) of Allah SWT)!

As-Salamu 'Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu my brothers and sisters.

I am Mohammed Jaffer Amarjeet Singh Islam. the founder of the Hafsa Seafoods (India).

My dear brothers and sisters within the last few years we have experienced a lot of good and bad together all over the world. Pandemic was the worst of it. Some of us lost our loved ones, some of us struggled to survive and some lost their hope.

This is the very first time ever that Hafsa Seafoods has taken an initiative to help the people in need this Ramadan. I made a decision to help the needy after looking at the current situation that took place. Over 1200 families have been found in Mumbai, India who come under the poverty line and still struggling with the impact of the pandemic.

Zakat UL Fitr is the amount that can help both the giver and the receiver to purify the wealth and It is said in Holy Qur'an by the all-mighty:

“And establish prayer and give zakat, and whatever good you put forward for yourselves – you will find it with Allah.” (2:110, Qur’an)

Please share your Zakat (charity) of at least ₹300 with us to help the one in need.

As one of the pillars of Islam, a zakat is a form of obligatory charity that has the potential to ease the suffering of millions.

With the literal meaning of the word being ‘to cleanse,’ Muslims believe that paying zakat purifies, increases, and blesses the remainder of their wealth.

“Whoever pays the zakat on his wealth will have its evil removed from him” (Ibn Khuzaimah and at-Tabarani).

Zakat is also a spiritual connection to one’s maker – to purify your wealth for the will of Allah is to acknowledge that everything we own belongs to Him, and it is for Him that we strive to end poverty and help our brothers and sisters.

According to the Hanafi madhab, zakat is 2.5% of the wealth that has been in one’s possession for a lunar year. If wealth amounts to less than a threshold figure, termed the nisab, then no Zakat is payable. If wealth amounts to more than the nisab, zakat becomes obligatory.

“Of their goods, take zakat, so that you might purify and sanctify them.” (9:103, Qur’an)
